The workplace can be hell if you have ADHD.  All those obligations, details, schedules, demands, office politics, difficult bosses, deadlines and other snares combine to make succeeding at work challenging to say the least.  Even if you are your own boss and have to answer to no one but yourself, your workplace can feel like a mine field, ready to blow up at your feet with every step you take.

Two old friends and veterans of the world of ADHD, Dr. Edward “Ned” Hallowell and Peter Shankman, combine their experience, knowledge, and real-life savvy to give you the best of what they’ve got.

The format is ADHD friendly.  Two guys who “get it” and know that boredom is forbidden will inform and, in all likelihood, entertain you in such a way that the time will fly by and you will learn career-changing tips without even knowing you are learning them.

Expect tips like:

What is by far the most important workplace accommodation?  Answer: being in the right job!

How do you know if you are in the wrong job or maybe just one adjustment away from being in the right one?

What do you do if you despise your boss or a co-worker you cannot avoid?

How to deal with being late for work all the time?

                What about procrastination?

What if you just can’t keep your mouth shut and you keep saying what you think at work, to your own detriment?

What if you’d rather stick a pencil in your eye than obey orders or follow instructions?

What if you know you have a better idea but you worry about showing up your boss or co-workers?

What if playing politics, i.e. ass-kissing, is a talent you’d rather quit than develop?

How do you put your best foot forward if you don’t really believe you have a best foot?

Ned and Peter will address issues like these, and others as well.  We look forward to a lively session with a big crowd!
