Busting ADHD Myths

Think you know what ADHD is and isn’t?

Myth: Smart people don’t have ADHD.

Fact: The idea that having ADHD means you’re stupid – that’s not true. People with ADHD vary in their intelligence (whatever that elusive word means!) as much as the general population does.  Many people with ADHD are extremely intelligent, especially in the areas of creativity, originality, intuition, resourcefulness, and emotional savvy.

If you, a family member or someone you know has ADHD, it’s important to learn what ADHD is and isn’t.  So if you missed Dr. Hallowell’s  Twitter Chat on busting ADHD Myths with Understood.org, click here  to learn how to separate myth from fact to help you feel more confident in your ADHD knowledge

Dr. Hallowell dispels common ADHD myths in his mini Distraction podcasts on ADHD Myths versus Facts.

Delivered from Distraction  offers a comprehensive and entirely up-to-date guide to living a successful life with ADHD.
