This is a safe and non-invasive procedure in which the patient wears electrodes on the skin that monitor and analyze EEG (brain activity). The system then uses the EEG information as a feedback that gives signals back tot eh brain that serve to normalize brain activity.
The Hallowell Center offers LENS neurofeedback because it works more quickly than other forms of neurofeedback (takes about one-fourth the time) with the same durability of treatment. Research shows that it does nelp a wide variety of issues. LENS is used to treat ADHD, bipolar, depression, anxiety, OCD, migraine headaches and Asperger’s.
For specific questions about whether LENS might be right for you, please call Rebecca Shafir at the Hallowell Center at 978-287-0810.
This program is an exercise-based remediation process for difficulties related to delayed cerebellar development. DORE’s method of cerebellar assessment and stimulation through specialized exercises is an extremely promising and innovative way of helping people with ADHD and dyslexia. Patients following the DORE training program will do exercises for 10-20 minutes a day for 12-24 months. Exercises include such activities as balancing on a wabble board, jubbling, moving your eyes from side to side, standing on one leg, etc.
For specific questions about whether DORE might be right for you, please call Christine Robinson at 978-287-9570 ext. 100.

LENS is a safe and non-invasive procedure that monitors and analyzes EEG (brain activity) using brain wave monitors on the scalp. The LENS system uses that information as feedback for sending signals back to the brain to normalize brain activity for those whose brain waves are disrupted. Conditions that improve with LENS feedback training include bipolar, depression, anxiety, OCD, fibromyalgia and Asperger’s. We like LENS neurofeedback in particular because the LENS method accomplishes improved functioning in about one third the time compared with traditional neurofeedback approaches, with the same durability of treatment effects.
