ADHD Family Summer Camp

HALLOWELL  SUMMER ADVENTURES ADHD FAMILY CAMP  Join Us for our 16th Season July, 2021

Note: RE: July 2020 campIt was with deep regret that we made the difficult decision to postpone our summer camp until July, 2021. Since the foundation of our camp is based on connections, we didn’t feel that we could provide you with a safe, fun and enriching camp experience while maintaining social distancing and implementing the necessary health and safety protocols. We hope to see you in 2021.

Dr Hallowell and Rob Himburg have created a one-of-a-kind weeklong camp for families. Children and parents attend separate morning sessions throughout the week, then have the afternoon and evenings to spend together.

Dr Hallowell works with the parents and Rob works with the children. Parents participate in a highly interactive discussion-based seminar with Dr Hallowell, while the children work and play in a highly experiential adventure learning program created by Rob. The combination of the parallel programs can have an exponential growth effect for families – transforming past patterns and opening the way for better communication, understanding and connection. An additional children’s camp is also available for siblings.

FOR ADULTS – Cape Cod Institute – celebrating their 40th Anniversary Season in 2019!

“Unwrapping the Gifts: A Strength-Based Approach to ADHD Across the Life Span.”

August 12 – 16, 2019, Cape Cod – My Cape Cod Institute course is great for people who have ADHD or have an interest in ADHD (teachers, parents, spouses) and professionals can get continuing education credit. The course is rooted in my hallmark strength-based approach, meaning that I see ADHD as a trait, not a disorder, which, if managed properly can become a true asset, as it has become for me. If managed poorly, though, it can be a terrible problem.

This one-week CE course is offered through the Cape Cod Institute and interweaves advanced material and innovative new treatments with introductory information. It will explore the entire world of ADHD in its human as well as its clinical and scientific dimensions. It will provide a solid, practical basis for understanding ADHD at all ages in all contexts.

The course is for adults only, although many people bring their families for the week. It runs mornings from 9 – noon; 3 hours with Dr. Hallowell and the rest of the day on the beach, on a sailboat, or curled up with a book.
